    Private Music Lessons $24/lesson Instructor: Kate Sorenson Private lessons for piano, voice, and violin are perfect for any age and any skill level. Lessons are fully customized to fit your personal goals and learning style. A few quick details: Instruments: Please bring your own violin to lessons. Materials: Students/parents are responsible for purchasing their own music books (as noted in the Music Lesson Agreement).   • Great Theater-Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe

    GREAT Theater's celebrated summer theater camps are going on tour! Join us as we bring out popular play-in-a-week camp to your doorstep. Over the course of a week, youth will develop skills and experience the process of being in a play. This camp is open to a large range of ages to give youth a unique opportunity to learn and grow from each other. Students will get to use costumes, and have a performance of the play (traditional play, non musical). Everyone auditions, everyone performs, everyone experiences the joy of theater. Camp runs Mon-Fri, 9:00 am- 4:00 pm daily in the PAHS Auditorium with a final performance at 3:00 pm on Friday.

Picnic in the Park Date June 16 Grab your sun hat and join us for a Picnic & Park Adventure! This session is all about the joys of the great outdoors, focusing on social skills, sensory exploration, and the simple pleasure of sharing a meal. Five-Sense Fiesta Date June 23 This workshop is a playground for the nervous system, designed to help children process the world through hands-on exploration. From squishy textures to secret scents, we’re diving deep into the "how" and "why" of our amazing senses. Music Makers Date: July 7 A high-energy workshop where every child is the lead performer! This class is a symphony of hands-on building, rhythmic movement, and creative storytelling . Little Gym Heroes Date: July 21 Ready, set, move! Little Gym Heroes is an action-packed, developmental playground designed to build confidence, coordination, and camaraderie. Through a series of playful physical challenges, children will explore what their bodies can do while learning the "superpowers" of cheering for others and playing as a team. Messy Art Date: August 4 This session is a sensory art explosion where the process is far more important than the final product. This class is a haven for tactile learners, allowing children to squish, smear, and splash their way toward creative confidence and fine motor development.

    Terrific Tuesdays Grades 2-5

    Elementary students will explore creativity and technology during Terrific Tuesdays in the Innovation Center. Each class offers 2–3 hands-on project options using tools like 3D printers, a Glowforge laser engraver, sublimation printer, Cricut vinyl cutters, and a button maker. Students might design and print 3D objects, create custom stickers or iron-on shirt designs, engrave projects, or experiment with epoxy. With different project choices each week, kids can follow their interests while building skills in design, creativity, and problem-solving in a fun, supportive environment.

    RC WARS Gr 3-9 In RC Wars, teams of students will build their own Remote Control vehicles to race and battle against other teams. Students will need to design their vehicles to not only be faster and stronger than other teams’ creations, but also better than purchased RC Cars and Drones! RC Wars will feature land and air races, obstacle courses and more as students learn mechanical and electrical building skills in an energetic and exciting environment. RC Boats & ROV Basics Gr 3-9 Set sail on a hands-on engineering adventure in RC Boats & ROV Basics! Students will dive into the science of buoyancy, hull design, and waterproofing as they work in teams to test and modify remote-control boats. Along the way, they’ll experiment with stability, thrust, and maneuverability before putting their creations to the test in timed trials and obstacle challenges. If a pool or pond is available, the final day shifts outdoors for exciting capstone runs; otherwise, indoor test bins keep the action flowing. With plenty of teamwork, problem-solving, and splashy fun, this camp makes STEM unforgettable.

    LITTLE EINSTEIN'S STEM CLASS (K– 5th) Welcome to Little Einstein's Lab, where curiosity bubbles over and science fizzes to life! In this hands-on, high-energy course, young scientists will explore the wonders of chemistry using the scientific method to guide their wild investigations. This session transforms ordinary household items—like baking soda, vinegar, milk, soap, and food coloring—into spectacular experiments that pop, fizz, foam, and surprise. STEM EXPLODING PAINT BOMB ART - K - 8th Get ready to mix science with splatter in this high-energy, hands-on course where creativity meets chemistry! STEM Exploding Paint Bomb Art invites students to explore the explosive reactions behind color and motion while designing vibrant works of art. Through safe, guided experiments, students will learn the basics of chemical reactions and pressure dynamics—all while launching paint bombs that create stunning abstract masterpieces. Perfect for curious minds who love to get messy and think outside the box, this course is a blast—literally!
  • Fall Soccer

    Fall Soccer Grades 3-5 Practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-7 at Ampe Field in Paynesville. Season will conclude around the first of October. Season includes the Soccer Fun Day in September, with several schools participating and one or two other games against other schools. Fall Soccer Grades 6-8 and 9-12 There are separate teams for each age group. Teams will play a ten-game season against other school and club teams. Both practice on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-7:30 PM (times change slightly near the end of September according to sunset.) Practices and home games are held at Ampe Field in Paynesville. Season ends with the last game around the first week in October.

    Calling All Future Musicians! Hey, incoming 6th graders – are you ready to kick off your band journey in the most exciting way possible? Join us for Beginning Band Camp at Paynesville Schools! When? August 17-21 Where? Paynesville Schools Band Room This special camp is designed to give you a head start before the school year begins, so when we start full band rehearsals, we can play together right away! Without band camp, it would take 2-3 weeks before we could make music as a whole group – and trust us, playing together is way more fun! What to Expect: Learn the basics of your instrument in small groups Gain confidence before the first full band rehearsal Have fun making music with new friends Wrap up the week with a special Show & Tell performance on Friday! Schedule for Monday-Wednesday (Small Group Instruction) Flutes: 9:00-9:50 Clarinets: 10:00-10:50 Saxophones: 11:00-11:50 Trumpets & French Horns: 1:00-1:50 Trombones, Baritones & Tubas: 2:00-2:50 Percussion: 3:00-3:50 Thursday & Friday – Full Band Together! 9:00-9:50 – Everyone plays as a full group! Friday at 10:00 – Show & Tell for family & friends in the band room! You will be amazed at what you can learn in just five short days!   • Tackle Football Grades 5-6

    We will stress teaching the safe teaching of fundamentals of football, which include safe techniques of blocking, tackling, throwing and catching. We try to make sure that all players are learning the fundamentals against players their own size and ability. The fee includes the use of all equipment needed to participate including shoulder pads, helmets, pants with pads, mouth guards, footballs and jerseys. Our goal is to get enough players to form two teams again this year. As always, we are looking for volunteers willing to coach. You don’t have to be a football expert to help out! This league is set up so all players can receive as close to equal playing time as possible.
  • Flag Football

    Come and join in the fun of the third and fourth grade flag football program. There will be drills and games to help you improve your football skills. This program will provide fun for all the participants while teaching them some football skills. A parent coach will play quarterback for part of the games to make sure every player gets a chance to catch some passes. We are looking for volunteer help with this fun activity. Each player will receive a Bulldog Football T-Shirt.
