Mid Minnesota Swim Lessons
Develops competency in swimming, along with confidence and endurance. Children will advance to the next level when he/she can proficiently and safely perform the skills within his or her level.Full description of levels can be found online at www.paynesvillece.com.Levels are consistent to Red Cross Swim Levels.Students need to arrive dressed and ready for lessons.No one will be allowed to change after class.One guardian/spectator is allowed during class hours due to capacity limits Bring your own towel No Hot Tub No Kiddie Pool Do not enter pool until instructor gives permission Preschool Swim- (4 & 5 year olds). Classes will focus on basic water safety, entry, exit, blowing bubbles, submerging mouth, nose, eyes, and ears. Introduction to floats and stroke fundamentals using songs, games and play. Does not require parent in Pool.Level I- Water Exploration (Pre-Beginners) Level I is to help students feel comfortable in the water and to enjoy the water safely. Students start to develop good attitudes and safety practices around the water. Level I skills include: fully submerge face, buoyancy and breath control, supported float on front & back, blowing bubbles, water entry & exit, locomotion (walk through water safely) and supported kicking on front and back. *Child must be at least 3 feet tall and be able to stand in the pool independently. Level II- Primary Skills (Beginners) Level II gives students success with fundamental skills. Students learn to float without support and to recover to a vertical position. This level marks the beginning of true locomotion skills and adds to self-help and basic rescue skills. Level II skills include: hold breath and fully submerge head, retrieve objects, orientation to deep water, prone float of glide (unsupported), supine float of glide (unsupported), rhythmic breathing, step from the side into chest deep water, get out at side of pool, flutter kick on front and back, finning on back, back crawl arm action combined, stroke front , etc.Level III- Stroke Readiness (Beginners +) Level III is to build on the skills in Level II by providing additional guided practice. Level III skills include: coordinate the front & back crawl, elementary backstroke, fundamentals of treading water.

Central Lakes Tae Kwon Do Advanced Youth
Are you looking for a physical activity that can help your child gain confidence, physical fitness, discipline, concentration, and is fun? Tae Kown Do (TKD) may be the answer! TKD helps increase speed, strength, coordination, and concentration as well as teaches practical self-defense skills. TKD Students learn integrity, respect, courtesy, and self-control while participating in a good exercise program that actually helps build self-confidence and self esteem. TKD also helps strengthen and tone muscles, improves flexibility, increases cardiovascular fitness, coordination, and can help control weight. This is an activity that is meant to be life long. Belt promotions are done throughout the year. Additional costs for testing nights and equipment are not included in the class fee.

Summer Volleyball Camp
After nine years at the helm of St. Cloud State Volleyball, Braegelmann has led the Huskies to some of their most historic seasons. The 2023 campaign saw the Huskies finish with a 22-9 record and were #9 in the final AVCA Coaches Poll. The Huskies, winning 22+ matches for the 4th year in a row during the 2023 campaign, had two AVCA All-Americans, and their first ever NCAA D2 National Player of the Year, Kenzie Foley. St. Cloud State Volleyball also boasted, three All-NSIC performers and two AVCA All-Americans. Through the years, Braegelmann has coached 68 All-Conference award winners, seven Freshmen of the Year recipients, four conference MVPs/Players of the year, as well as multiple conference Defensive Player of the Year award winners. The Huskies advanced to the NSIC tourney Championship match for the 4th straight season. *Sponsored by Paynesville Fierce Volleyball.

School Aged Gymnastics Program *There was a misprint on pricing in the Summer Brochure. The correct prices are listed online. Mobility through our school-aged program is based on ability testing using skill benchmarks. Tumble with Me-(Age 3-4)- A class for preschoolers with their 16+ chaperone to join along. Classes will include instruction on floor, beam, bars, vault, and mini-tramp. Students will work on large motor skill development, stretching and balance. Intro to Gymnastics- (Ages 5-12)-This class is for beginning gymnasts ages 5-12 who are NOT able to perform a cartwheel to a feet first landing. Gymnasts will work on vault, bars, beam and floor along with focusing on growing their strength and confidence. Tanzanite - (Age 5-12)-This class is for gymnasts age 5 & up who are able to perform a cartwheel to feet first landing and a straight-arm bridge. Gymnasts will work on vault, bars, beam and floor along with focusing on growing their strength and confidence. Emerald - (Age 6-12)-This class is for gymnasts ages 6 & up who are able to perform a 5 second straight arm bridge, a forward roll with legs together, backward roll, 3/4 handstand, levering cartwheel w/straight arms, bridge kick over from a mat & lightly spotted pullover, and forward, backward, sideways walks on medium beam and walk unassisted on high beam. Gymnasts will continue to gain strength and confidence while improving key gymnastics shapes and basic skills necessary for more advanced gymnastics. Ruby - (Age 6-12)-This class is for students ages 6 & up who are able to perform a vertical handstand on floor, levering cartwheel w/straight arms & legs, bridge kick-over w/straight legs on floor, round-off from panel mat, beginning back handspring shapes with spot, pull-over on bars, high toe walks on high beam, cartwheel on low beam and straight jump off springboard on mat. Gymnastics will continue to improve key gymnastics shapes and basic skills necessary for more advanced gymnastics. More emphasis will be placed on precision and mastery of key shapes and presentation. Diamond- (Age 6-12)-This class is for students ages 6 & up who are able to perform a forward roll, backward roll, levering cartwheel w/a lunge, handstand from lever, round-off, back limber, bridge kick-over from floor, pull-over on low bar, straight jump on medium beam and a stuck cartwheel on the low beam. Gymnasts will begin focusing on more advanced skills needed to move into the competitive gymnastics program. More emphasis will be placed on precision and mastery of key shapes and on presentation. This level will begin combing skills, along with the introduction of more dance elements. Recreational Gymnastics-(Ages 5-12)-This class is for students that would like to give gymnastics a try, and have a sampling of what the sport is about. High School Team-(Entering Grades 7-12)-Are you interested in being a part of the Paynesville/EVW Flying Bulldogs this next season? Then this is the program for you. Students will work with the varsity coaching staff on getting ready for the competitive season. Floor, Bars, Beam and Vault will be covered. 50% of the fee will be refunded to each gymnast at the completion of the season if they help setup the equipment and assist an average of 3 hours per week coaching the youth gymnasts.

Great Theater
GREAT Theater's celebrated summer theater camps are going on tour! Join us as we bring out popular play-in-a-week camp to your doorstep. Over the course of a week, youth will develop skills and experience the process of being in a play. This camp is open to a large range of ages to give youth a unique opportunity to learn and grow from each other. Students will get to use costumes, mics, and have a performance of the play (traditional play, non musical). Everyone auditions, everyone performs, everyone experiences the joy of theater. Camp runs Mon-Fri, 9:00 am- 4:00 pm daily in the PAHS Auditorium with a final performance at 3:00 pm on Friday.

Battle Drones Gr 2nd-8th
Battle Drones features an exciting combination of aerial acrobatics with an engineering design challenge that will teach students STEM concepts, teamwork, and how to skillfully fly a drone. In Battle Drones, teams of students will build robotic launchers designed to fling projectiles at their opponents’ drones. Students will be guided by experienced camp instructors in how to construct their launchers to maximize projectile speed and accuracy. The camp will culminate in an epic battle where students will need to pilot their drones to safety by dodging opponent projectiles while using their own launchers to take down opponent drones. The best drone pilots and launchers will emerge victorious!

Fall Soccer
Fall Soccer Grades 6-12-Both Middle School and High school teams are co-ed and in the past have included players for Paynesville, EVW, BBE, NL-Sand Kimball. Games are scheduled against teams from Willmar, Albany, St. Cloud, Cambridge, Minneapolis and others. No experience is necessary. Our coaches have experience incorporating all levels of skill into the program. 10-12 games vs. other schools Fall Soccer Grades 3-5-Players will learn the skills necessary to play the game of soccer as well as learn the rules and strategy of the game. Full sided (11 v 11) games will be scheduled against other schools and the season will culminate in the annual Fun Day with several schools joining us at Ampe Park in Paynesville for a series of games on September 21.

(completed 5th grade) Here’s your chance to get a head start on learning your instrument before the school year even begins! We will meet for 5 days, where you will meet the other members of your section, and begin learning your instrument together. You will learn how to assemble your instrument, hold and take care of your instrument, and to play your very first notes. We will be working out of our method book so be sure to purchase all supplies before camp. *Exact times will be set once everyone is registered.*

Tackle Football Grades 5-6
We will stress teaching the safe teaching of fundamentals of football, which include safe techniques of blocking, tackling, throwing and catching. We try to make sure that all players are learning the fundamentals against players their own size and ability. The fee includes the use of all equipment needed to participate including shoulder pads, helmets, pants with pads, mouth guards, footballs and jerseys. Our goal is to get enough players to form two teams again this year. As always, we are looking for volunteers willing to coach. You don’t have to be a football expert to help out! This league is set up so all players can receive as close to equal playing time as possible.

Flag Football
Come and join in the fun of the third and fourth grade flag football program. There will be drills and games to help you improve your football skills. This program will provide fun for all the participants while teaching them some football skills. A parent coach will play quarterback for part of the games to make sure every player gets a chance to catch some passes. We are looking for volunteer help with this fun activity. Each player will receive a Bulldog Football T-Shirt.
