Calling All Future Musicians!

Hey, incoming 6th graders – are you ready to kick off your band journey in the most exciting way possible? Join us for Beginning Band Camp at Paynesville Schools!

When? August 18-22
Where? Paynesville Schools Band Room

This special camp is designed to give you a head start before the school year begins, so when we start full band rehearsals, we can play together right away! Without band camp, it would take 2-3 weeks before we could make music as a whole group – and trust us, playing together is way more fun!

What to Expect:
Learn the basics of your instrument in small groups
Gain confidence before the first full band rehearsal
Have fun making music with new friends
Wrap up the week with a special Show & Tell performance on Friday!

Schedule for Monday-Wednesday (Small Group Instruction)
Flutes: 9:00-9:50
Clarinets: 10:00-10:50
Saxophones: 11:00-11:50
Trumpets & French Horns: 1:00-1:50
Trombones, Baritones & Tubas: 2:00-2:50
Percussion: 3:00-3:50

Thursday & Friday – Full Band Together!
9:00-9:50 – Everyone plays as a full group!
Friday at 10:00 – Show & Tell for family & friends in the band room!

You will be amazed at what you can learn in just five short days! Come see the incredible progress these young musicians have made in just a week at our Show & Tell performance on Friday. You won’t believe how far they’ve come!

My primary focus is the success and fun we will have in band, so please let me know about any conflicts you can’t avoid for Beginning Band Camp. Together, we’ll make this band camp—and the school year—the best it possibly can be!
